That new camera is doing great! Lovely photos!
Thanks – so far I like it a lot. It’s the first on-SLR I’ve had that has so much manual control.
beautiful shots!
congratulations on the new equipment!
Thanks, Ankush! I’ve always wanted something more portable than my SLR kit, but more flexible than the compact P&Ses I’ve always had – so far the G10 seems to fit the bill perfectly!
Adam, your photos are so sharp and crisp. It looks like you made a really good choice for a P&S. It looks like the Tennessee Valley area is a place I should add to my list to visit. I really like the variety of flowers that were available. Obviously, it was the right time of year for a visit there.
Thanks, Mary – so far I’m liking it a lot! Tennessee Valley is a pretty, and very non-demanding, walk, but it’s also very popular….
Adam- Ah, the G10, what a wonderful looking camera. Enjoy it. Out of all your images on this post, I found the yellow-eyed grass the most interesting. In Ohio we have blue flowered sysirinchiums, but certainly no yellow flowered ones like californicum. And what a huge flower it is, our blue eyed grass flowers seem to be much, much smaller.

I’m loving the G10 so far – although not really pocketable, it’s way smaller than my 30D + lenses, and the full manual controls are more than welcome!
We have blue sysirinchiums (S. bellum), Blue-eyed Grass, too, and it’s quite common this time of year. The Yellow one is much less so – I’ve only seen it a couple of times. They’re about the same size, perhaps 1.5-2″ across at the widest.
i love the yellow eyed flower
Thanks, Alex!
