Hi Diana,

Luck you! The drive was through MIL Outdoor Adventures - we booked through their office in downtown El Calafate - it's easily found on the main drag near their beige Land Rovers with a MIL logo on them. Unfortunately I do not recall the name of our guide, or which exact excursion we booked.

Their website (spanish) is www.miloutdoor.com, and they have a list of their trips (also in Spanish) here

Have a great time - El Calafate was just wonderful.

Hi!! I was looking for some images on the web site and suddenly appears this blog, I can tell you it's amazing how nicely you can describe our town, because I'm from El Calafate. And this is so much interesting: I worked at hotel Kau Yatun last summer (december to march), so when y saw the gaucho photograph I imediatly recognice him, also the habppy hour snack because I was the bartender there. All that make me want to sign this blog, maybe with a poor english vocabulaty, but I hope you could understund. Nice to see the photographs, really weell shots.

The images are wonderful Adam, especially the food, but one that is unnerving me is the dude at the bottom. It would probably take a bottle of wild turkey for me to be able to sit thru that bit of entertainment !! ;)

It would be awesome to take a trip like this someday, your are so fortunate !!

Another great post. I love the shot of the Carancho. The ruggedness of the hawk truly symbolizes the ruggedness of the land it resides in. I cannot wait for the next installment of your story.
