Another informative class tonight, and I’m glad I missed out on last Saturday’s field trip, since it poured rain and they cut it short after only 90 minutes (Sarah & I were enjoying very pleasant weather on the Mendocino coast . My notes for the evening follow.

Since the days are light longer, I swung by the Palace of Fine Arts and Chrissy Field before my birding class tonight. I haven’t birded either place with any frequency, but a recent report of Red-shouldered Hawks preying on Pigeons and Coots at the PFA piqued my interest.
